FOLLICULAR DYSKERATOSIS - DARIER DISEASE. CASE REPORT

Darier’s disease is an autosomal dominant transmitted genodermatosis characterized by keratinization disorders with main location to the hair follicle. The condition is rare, with an incidence of 1: 30,000 to 1: 100,000. Genetic anomaly consists of a pathological structure of the desmosomes and cytokines cytoplasmic keratin.
Desmosomes - keratin filaments junction is friable and unstable.
The patient aged 63 years has for 47 years papules and some covered with plugs in yellow-brown hyperkeratotic corks, located in the scalp, forehead, chest, bilaterally shins, back hands and nail changes.
The histopathological examination evidenced dyskeratosis and suprabasal acantolisis.
