CLINICAL AND THERAPEUTIC ASPECTS OF CUTANEOUS PHOTOAGING

Cutaneous photoaging appears as a consequence of prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiations which modify irreversibly the structural integrity of the dermal extracellular matrix. Type A UV radiations have the most important role in aging pathogenesis. Clinically, some cutaneous disorders can appear related to photoaging or associated with it such as solar elastosis, Favre-Racouchot syndrome, solar lentigo/solar lentigines, actinic purpura, poikiloderma of Civatte and porokeratosis.
