Diabetes is a metabolic disorder of epidemic
proportions, with increasing prevalence. The skin is
directly affected by chronic hyperglycemia and the complex
physiopathogenic reactions triggered by it. The authors
present the most common skin diseases that are associated
with diabetes mellitus, with the description of the
etiopathogenic correlations, the clinical picture and the
therapeutic strategy.
